Since February 2014 I have kept a daily list of the arXiv preprints I find interesting, and since October 2017 the list has been public on my website. This page puts all 18,169 picks in one searchable place, along with what they show about how my reading has changed. One star (★) marks a paper I found especially interesting; two stars (★★) mark one that is very relevant to my own work.
Year comes from each paper's arXiv ID; 2026 runs to November. A handful of older papers (pre-2014 IDs) are left out of the chart.
Topics are assigned by keyword matches on titles, so a paper can sit in several or none (about 40% match none). The star-rate column compares each topic's share of starred papers (★ or ★★) with what the same years would give on average, so the drop in starring after 2017 doesn't skew it. Click a row to see its papers in Search.
These are terms that appear much more, or much less, often in titles I picked in 2025–26 than in 2014–22, ranked by a log-odds z-score. The numbers show how many papers each term appears in for each period. Click a term to search for it.
All words must match (title, author line or ID; accents ignored). Copy arXiv IDs copies every match, one per line, so you can paste them into INSPIRE or ADS to build a bibliography. A few entries were logged with a mistyped arXiv ID; they are marked "ID unclear" and link to an arXiv title search instead.
